We believe that there is one God who created the Universe, who has been and is active in human history and who desires a personal relationship with every human being. (Gen. 1; Ps. 121; Hos. 2:23)
We believe that the Bible contains the inspired word of God, that it is inerrant and relevant, and that it is the spiritual and moral guide for our lives (2 Tim. 3:16-17).
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that he lived among men, that he was crucified and buried, that he rose from the dead and now is at the right hand of God, and that salvation is possible only through him (John 1:1-3, 14; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; Acts 4:12).
We believe that all men have sinned and are separated from God and therefore need to be reconciled with God (Rom. 3:23), that this reconciliation is possible only by the grace of God, and that it is reached through faith in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ and not in man’s own works (Eph. 2:8-9).
We believe that in order to be saved we must believe in Christ (Rom. 10:9), repent of sin (Acts 2:38), make Christ the Lord of our life (Rom. 10:9), be baptized for the forgiveness of sin and to receive the gift of God’s indwelling Spirit (Acts 2:38), and live according to the teachings of Jesus and the guidance of the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:12-17).
We believe that the Holy Spirit of God is active in our lives, empowering us to live as disciples of Jesus (Rom. 8:5-14).
We believe that the true Church of Christ is a spiritual, not a human, organization, and that it is made up of those who have been saved and have been added to it by the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 12:13-14)
We believe that the greatest commandment and therefore the greatest motivating force in our lives is to love God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength, and that the second greatest command is to love our neighbor as ourselves (Mark 12:28-31).
We believe that it is the mission of the Church, and therefore of every disciple of Jesus, to proclaim --by word and by example-- the lordship of Christ, the truth of God’s Word, and the message of the redemptive work of Jesus, so as to give as many as possible an opportunity to respond to the Gospel of Christ (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Cor. 9:19).
We believe that the present world is temporary, that Christ will return to judge the living and the dead, and that those who have remained faithful to him will be raised to spend eternity in the presence of God (1 Thes. 4:13-18; Rev. 20:11-15).
